Hello Trailblazers!

It appears that Kroger has now posted the last quarters’ community rewards to our accounts. I need for you to do 2 things:
1) Go into your Kroger Reward History and let me know the amount you were credited for last quarter
2) Let me know if you had any other cards registered to Trailblazers (like friends or relatives), and let me know their total as well.

The ONLY information that Kroger sends me is the TOTAL number of participants and the TOTAL amount allocated to us as a group. I have NO WAY of applying any of that to you unless you tell me. I know that there has been some confusion and that some of you did not access previous quarter amounts. That’s OKAY – please at least let me know IF you participated at all and the amount you have posted. I will do some sort of ratio allocation to everyone who participated so that you still get some credit for it.

The DEADLINE for getting the above info to me will be THIS FRIDAY, September 18. At that time I will tally it all up and allocate it to the individual families to go with the amount that your players have earned through the other fundraising opportunities. I will just send the info to the fundraising committee.

This prize will be in the form of a gift card, chosen by the recipient. Gift cards will be presented at the first home game.

Tomorrow’s car wash does not currently have enough volunteers. Please contact Jennifer Earnhart as soon as possible if you can work tomorrow. There will be another car wash opportunity on the 19th as well. This is a great opportunity to earn some money for your tournament fundraising goal. We are especially in need of JV/Varsity players for tomorrow’s schedule.

TODAY is the LAST DAY to register your Kroger card with the Western Kentucky Trailblazers for our team to receive a percentage of the sales of our members. Please go to the website and sign up TONIGHT!
Also, please forward your quarterly total to me if you haven’t already done so. Tomorrow you will have your next quarter’s total posted. I will need for you to send that to me, as well. Whether you have your total from the previous quarters or not, please send me an email if you had your card/cards registered throughout last year so I can allot some credit to you towards your fundraising total. I also need to know if you had any friends/relatives who registered their cards with us. You are more than welcome to have your friends and family join our group. The percentage we get is based on the size of our group.

We need workers for the Campbell Lane Car Wash on September 12th for 9a-12noon and 12noon-3pm. We also need one parent volunteer for each shift.

Tryouts for the JV/Varsity and Middle School Boys’ teams will be held at Phil Moore Park, September 8-11th. JV/Varsity tryouts are from 1-3pm each day. Middle School Boys’ tryouts are from 3-5pm each day. A few have stated that they have time conflicts for one or the other, so feel free to attend the time slot that accommodates your schedule.

These tryouts will be run as practices. Be prepared to run drills for dribbling, passing, shooting, defense, etc. The coaches will make final cuts after the week is complete.

All other teams’ practices will begin the week of September 14th.

Jennifer Earnhart will be at Starbucks on Campbell Lane on Thursday from 3-5pm. Text her at 270-996-1218 if you want to stop by and pick up Little Caesar’s Order Forms. You can also arrange alternative pick up times and locations.

Campbell Lane Car Wash Fundraiser

WHAT: Fundraiser for the basketball program. These funds will be used to offset tournament expenses. Players will offer to dry cars, vacuum, etc…..while telling customers who you are and about our basketball program. Then…hopefully they will make a DONATION!! Please wear some type of team shirt to identify yourself as part of the group. If you do not have a team shirt no worries just  wear something like a red t-shirt.

WHEN:     Saturday August 22nd

Saturday September 12th

Saturday September 19th

WHO: ALL Trailblazer Basketball Players. We would like to distribute players evenly over the three Saturday’s.

TIME: 9:00-3:00

We will need two parents to be on site at the car wash to oversee the players during the time they are working.

We would like 7-8 kids for each shift.

Campbell Lane Car Wash has been very generous to let us try to raise some money for our program. They really don’t get anything out of this financially. This is just their way of giving back. So let’s all be sure to thank them and represent the Trailblazers well.

You can still access your quarterly information for the 3rd and 4th quarters. The 3rd quarter is posted now (see original email about how to locate that info). The 4th quarter will be posted on September 1. Sorry for the confusion.
