The MTAC Varsity Championship games are today in White House, TN and you’ll recognize two of the teams that are in the finals. The Lady Trailblazers are playing against Riverside Christian Academy for the Conference Championship at 4:00pm and the Boys Varsity team is playing against Tennessee Heat for the Conference Championship at 6:00pm.
Please consider making the easy 45 minute drive down to 506 Hester Drive to cheer on these two teams. Bring as many of your friends and family as possible to support our players as they each go for their first ever championship!
The camp with Coach Cowles has been confirmed for next week. Please meet at Phil Moore Park from 5:30-7:00pm on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. We will not have the camp on Friday due to a previously scheduled game for the girls in Morgantown.
The cost for this camp is $30 per family. We look forward to seeing everyone who is planning on playing Lady Trailblazer games this season.
Please contact me if you’re interesting in participating in a girls basketball camp with Coach Cowles during the week of July 25th at a location to be determined. We would meet from 5:30-7:00pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday. The cost would be $30 per family. If you know of any girls interested in playing this season, please invite them to this Trailblazers camp.
For the boys and girls middle school teams, the updated bracket for your tournament at Lancaster is attached to the calendar event on the website. You may download a copy there.
The Girls’ game on Friday against Bethel has changed to 8pm. Please see the special instructions on directions below:
Use directions given not gps. From Bethel:I suggest getting on the Western Kentucky Parkway coming North. The Leitchfield exit is 107. From there turn left that will take you into the city of Leitchfield. Stay straight throughout. You will eventually come to Highway 259 continue on straight. Eventually you will cross a bridge that is the Grayson/Breckinridge County line. Continue straight. On your right you will see a tan metal building with the word “Bethel” in big green letters. Turn right into the parking lot and your gym is in that tan metal building. Here are a couple of numbers if you get lost: Mine (Daryl Cook) is (270) 287-8333 and Jason Miller (our AD) his number is (270) 899-0885.

This team is coached by Aaron Peters. We practice on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays at Phil Moore Park from 3-5pm. Looking forward to a great season of Trailblazer Basketball!
We had a great girls’ camp this week! 11 players participated and received some excellent instruction from Coach Mary Cowles. We want to thank her for giving us the time and attention this week. I know all of the girls really appreciated the camp.
We had a great turnout Monday night! The girls are enjoying the expertise and energy that Coach Cowles brings to the instruction. If you haven’t been able to attend, please come out tomorrow night at Phil Moore Park at 6pm. We have also added another night this Friday at Phil Moore Park from 5:30-7:30pm.
The Trailblazers will host a Girls Basketball Camp, coached by Mary Taylor Cowles, at Phil Moore Park on July 27th, 28th, and 30th. The camp will run from 6-8pm each night. Coach Cowles was the head coach of the WKU Lady Toppers from 2002-2012.
There is no charge to attend and we hope that every Trailblazers girls’ team player will take advantage of this great opportunity. The camp is for grades 7 thru 12.
