Friday’s Game Time Has Changed

The Girls’ game on Friday against Bethel has changed to 8pm. Please see the special instructions on directions below:

Use directions given not gps. From Bethel:I suggest getting on the Western Kentucky Parkway coming North. The Leitchfield exit is 107. From there turn left that will take you into the city of Leitchfield. Stay straight throughout. You will eventually come to Highway 259 continue on straight. Eventually you will cross a bridge that is the Grayson/Breckinridge County line. Continue straight. On your right you will see a tan metal building with the word “Bethel” in big green letters. Turn right into the parking lot and your gym is in that tan metal building. Here are a couple of numbers if you get lost: Mine (Daryl Cook) is (270) 287-8333 and Jason Miller (our AD) his number is (270) 899-0885.

Games Start This Week!

Welcome to Trailblazer Madness! Basketball games start this week. It takes all families working together to provide this opportunity for our players. You can expect to have a job pretty much every week.

A notice will be sent at the beginning of each week with all the duties assigned for the week. Once I collect everyone’s ability to keep books and clock, I will send a summary of which families have players on which each teams, their emails, and what jobs they are trained and willing to do (books and clock). Everyone is capable of admissions and concessions. We will have two concessions people assigned for each home game.

If you are unable to fulfill your assigned task for any particular game, it is your responsibility to contact someone to take your place. There is no need to let me know if you have switched, but you are responsible to make sure your substitute shows up and does not forget! Please followup and double check that they remember.

This week’s games are AWAY at
Anchored Christian Academy.
1807 Cave Mill Road
Bowling Green, KY

For AWAY games we only provide a bookkeeper.

For this week we have 3 games scheduled on Friday and the following people have been assigned to keep the books.

Friday 10/30
4:00 (5/6 game) Woosley
5:00 (JVB) Moore
6:00 (VB) Hammerstone

For HOME games we will have all of the following:
Pre-Game Admissions (arrive 45-60 minutes early and collect admissions – if we miss early arrivals we miss out on $$$)
Admissions (sit at table during game and collect admissions)
Concessions (a team of two to work the concessions stand)
Announcer (read starting lineup; say a prayer for safety, sportsmanship, etc; occasionally introduce special programs such as “National Anthem will be sung by…”)
Book (sit at scorer’s table and record scores)
Clock (sit at scorer’s table and run the clock)
Cleaning (Check area before leaving for trash, spills, etc)

More detailed instructions will be sent out soon for each of the HOME jobs (where to get money box, specific cleaning list, concession prices and what to do, admission prices and season ticket deals, etc).

Please watch carefully each week for the assignments. If there is ever a discrepancy between the weekly email and the schedule at WKYTrailblazers.com the WEBSITE takes precedence over the email.
